What color should I paint my walls?

Light colored carpet, chocolate brown fabric couch, lightish wood shelves, tv stand brown or black. Looking for somewhat more colorful walls--maybe something blue or green?What color should I paint my walls?

i wouldn't go with blue or green. maybe something off-white, light brown , or cream?

You don't say what color the light rug is. If it has varying color threads like a lot of todays rugs do, take a close look at these threads and try to pull the color out of the rug onto the wall. If there is no green or blue thread in the rug, you may have to reconsider your choice.
