What color tile and paint should I use in a bathroom with black cabinets?

http://www.wolfleader.com/products/palette/palermo-collection/

I got a wonderful deal on the vanity, mirror and toilet topper on this site. What color should my paint and tile be? My bathroom is extremely small. I want it look nice and as spacious as possible. What color tile and paint should I use in a bathroom with black cabinets?
I would go with neutrals and warm colors. like a warm red-like orange or deep beige. I would look at other websites with black cabinets and see what colors they used. Also I might use whatever color the countertop of the sink is going to be as an accent or trim color in your design.

I like your choice in cabinets! What color tile and paint should I use in a bathroom with black cabinets?
I would go with a neutral color so that you can vary your colors for towels, rugs, and accessories. I would choose a pale gray or a light taupe color. I would not go for a neutral with a brown or yellow undertone - I'd stick to the gray bases. A pretty aqua color would be nice for accessories. Make sure you have plenty of good lighting so that the black cabinetry does not make your space seem smaller.

The cabinetry is quite handsome indeed. You'll have a very attractive space.
Great choice on the vanity! I think white, or off white will be a great contrast. Hope this helps and good luck:

Black can go with just about any color, and if you want to make it seem larger stay with lighter shades of paint or tiles...You counter tops will influence your color choices,or you can incorporate them into the accent trim color.

Here's some colors that you could consider;;;

Light shades of gray or silver....silver bath accessories would be nice with this color.

Sage green......gold bath access. would be nice with this color

Soft Burnt Orange....browns %26amp; tans would be nice accent colors

Sky blue....

Pastel Yellow, pastel purple or lavender

Mauve or Rose colors...

=)
combo lite and dark tile and a combo paint trim white and walls a aqua a somewhat bright color.
A white floor is going to make the room appear larger. Lighter color walls will do the same as will adding mirrors.

Chameleon colors/mystic paint?

where can i buy these kinds of paints for my bike? would an auto body shop be able to paint it?Chameleon colors/mystic paint?
Since preparation and application of this stuff is key to a great job I would recommend you go to a body shop to have the frame painted. You CAN get spray can sets of the finish but it really doesn't do a good job no matter how careful you are.

Be well aware that these finishes are VERY expensive and time consuming requiring at least 3 different applications, and that the slightest defect in the frame before painting will show up horribly in the finish... no, paint doesn't ';fill'; defects.

Chameleon paint on a bike frame is a bit of a waste since there are so many curved surfaces it pretty much either stays a single color or has so much change going on it looks weird.

Were it me I would reconsider a finish like that and go with a nice candy or pearl finish.Chameleon colors/mystic paint?

If this is your biggest concern when it comes to school, you need to pay more attention in class.

I am going for a sophisticated, sleek look. the coffee table is antique black wood.I have a cornflower (greyish bluish) couch- what color can i paint the walls?

That's difficult to say but gols or tan would look good. Have you considered buying a couch cover so you could do whatever you wanted?
I WOULD GO WITH A CREAMY VANILLA COLOR-I TYPE BIG SO I CAN SEE BETTER, I'M NOT YELLING
Chocolate brown looks great with blue upholstery and black case pieces. If that is too dark for you try a lighter taupe or tan color. This is a great color scheme that is really hot right now. A nice gold tone makes a great accent color for pillows, etc.
A very soft grey would be good ! But go to the store - get several bottles of different grey ( in the craft dept a little bottle costs about 99 cents) paint onto a few pieces of card bord or paper and thumb tack to wall behind sofa - leave it for a few days until you see which shade suits you best - a good way to pick a color without painting a whole wall

Pale green would be calming. What color should i paint my wall of my dental operatory if i have the floor and ceiling white?
I also recommend a blue color... but keep it in the grey-blue family, not the green-blue family.

BTW, pleeeeeeeeeeeeease consider doing something w/ your ceilings other than just plain white.

Patients spend a LOT of time staring at the ceiling and if you were to have some blocks or swirls of color (they should be ';soft'; in palette, rather than primary or jewel-toned colors), or even some intricate art posters for the patient to focus on, they'll be somewhat distracted from some of the more uncomfortable procedures they might have to undergo.

What color do I paint the base coat if I want to use the ';Sponge Off'; technique?

I want to Sponge Paint my walls grey. Right now they are pink. Do I first put a white coat, then begin the sponge off technique with grey? Please help! What color do I paint the base coat if I want to use the ';Sponge Off'; technique?
It depends on what you want to do. First prime the pink. for the base/finish, you can go white with gray, light gray/dark gray, dark gray/light gray, gray/white, etc. You can also introduce some coordinating colors in there. It's entirely up to you. You can always get samples and try it out on a piece of scrap you have laying around before you put it on the wall. Hope this helps. What color do I paint the base coat if I want to use the ';Sponge Off'; technique?
This is what I do and the other person is correct. It really depends on the what colors you have in the room and what you want to see. You do not need to prime though unless the walls are a big mess. The pink you have would also be a great base color for grey, if you are staying in those colors. A sample board is always the best idea because when you overlay two colors, you can get quite a different look than you might assume. Remember you can add touches of a third color to add more interest, just make it in the same value as the other two. (You do need to clean up the base wall even if it is in the pink color to make for a nice base.) Have fun!

What color should I paint my room?

I'm really girly but i don't want to do like all pink to make it look like a barbie doll's room...What color should I paint my room?
It's pretty tricky: what does your furniture look like? If your furniture is pale in color (maple, light oak or white), go for more dramatic hue ( Robin's Egg color was mentioned earlier, i'd use the darkest shade of it) or deep aubergine: it'll make light-colored furniture pop! If your furniture is dark (mahogany, espresso or black), go for the creamy yellow. make sure it has enoght ';peach'; in it, but it should be very pale, this will make your furniture stand out. Good luck! What color should I paint my room?
there is a very sophisticated purple gray color, with modern white accents it can be very feminine with out looking like barbie playhouse. Paint chips are useful. Be sure to put either the chip or the actual sample paint on the wall, color is highly affected by light, so look at it in your room often as the light changes over the day. Thats really the only way to know how the color will look is to get it up on the way in a sample swatch

How about something like ';inviting ivory'; (# 6372)? It's got enough color that it won't be too boring, yet neutral enough that it will match virtually any bedding colors you choose.
Blue and ivory. There is no law that says blue has to be for guys only, and you can pick a unique shade of blue like Robin's Egg. Very feminine yet not frilly. Have fun! :-)
You can have a feminine room without painting it pink. You can paint a soft celery green, an icy blue, or a buttery color. I say go with the butter!
You should make it a light blue. I am preppy too. I didnt want my room to be all pink so i decided to make it light blue and pink rugs and sheets.
Tiffany Box Blue! Goes with many other girly colors very nice such as pinks, lavenders and even black and white accents.

How to paint walls instead of taping the ceiling when you paint the walls a different color?

I have too much trouble taking down the tape. Either the paint sticks to it and peels off the walls (even when I take it down immediately after painting) or the tape rips off and doesn't come off cleanly. How to paint walls instead of taping the ceiling when you paint the walls a different color?
I just finished painting a house top to bottom with no tape. I used a plastic guard to help with edges while using a brush, than used a roller and just was careful to get close enough to the edges to minimize visible brush strokes, but not too close that I touched the other wall with the different color.

You can pick one of these up at any hardware store in the paint section. Essentially, it's an extended plastic spatula and you can get one for $10. Here is a link to what one model looks like:

Get a good, angled paint brush. Maybe 1 1/2'; wide. Take your time, angle the loaded brush in and up toward the ceiling, (you can use your pinkie finger as a stabilizer of sorts) and paint! You'll get the hang of it. I don't even use tape any more.
If you had 2 people to do the trimming... you could have one person hold a large piece of cardboard to block the paint from spreading to the ceiling and the the other person paint the edge of the wall.
i have a steady hand and dont need tape to cut in the walls. get someone who has a more steady hand to do all the cutting in for you

Does anyone know the photoshop color numbers for oil paint names?

In other words if you have Titanium White paint what would the photoshop color code be?

If anyone knows a website that can refeence these or even a book please list your resources - Thank youDoes anyone know the photoshop color numbers for oil paint names?
There are no ';Photoshop color codes'; as far as I know, but there are indeed ';color libraries'; that let you choose exact values for a color swatch, or the closest to a sample, be from a photo, scanned document or from other libraries.

Most common libraries in Photoshop are the Pantone family, Toyo, Trumach, EarthTones... and Pastels, that are supposed to correspond with most usual oil paint colors.

If you want to know the closest CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) or RGB (red, green, blue) values for Titanium White, double click on square sample in ';Color'; palette, choose ';custom...';, find Pastels library, pick your swatch, and go back to ';picker'; mode. If you need the closest Pantone, then go ';custom'; again and choose Pantone (un)coated instead of Pastels.

Maybe your Photoshop is so new that it doesn't even have Pastels or EarthTones libraries (for obvious reasons, i f you compare them with Pantone, for example). You may fin them in Illustrator; proceduere to pick color values is the same.

Or make a web search for such libaries for Photoshop, download and install them.

Did j.b.c. Corot, world famous french painter, paint in water colors, espevcially minature?

From my research it seems that like many artists he would sketch and do small paintings before tackling full size oil paintings for customers or to hang at the Salon in the French competitions. According to the EB piece on him, ';His naturalistic oil sketches are now more highly regarded than his more self-consciously poetic finished paintings';. But I cannot find any corroborating sources.

I could not find many references to his water colours, but several references to oils on canvas.

sunshine yellow. it will make you happy and make you think positive. it is a great color i might even paint my room yellow.

it also matches alot of other colors, like turquoise, green, red, white, blue etc.
Orange doesn't sound like a good match, nor does it sound appealing to me. (my opinion)

Try to coordinate your wall the same way you coordinate your wardrobe. If you have good taste in clothes and colors then follow your heart.
Well, I would say red but that's not one of your choices.

    Orange doesn't really match.

What's the trim color? If there's green on the walls, the yellow should be the trim. Yellow should definitely be the trim color...so I'm going to pick apple green.
apple green - will make you feel calm, good color for a bedroom

light orange - will get you energized

    orange-yellow - not a clue

sunshine yellow - makes you happy!

I like yellow the best and then apple-green. But, if you like orange, go for it. It's your room and you can find things to match. I think you could probably find some plaid bedsheets with alot of the colors you mentioned. You could have orange as an accent color if you don't want to paint the whole room orange. That way it won't be so overwhelming. Have fun decorating!

    What paint color to use?

My room is directed to sunlight in the afternoon and it sometimes gets hot. What color of curtains is suitable to bounce off the heat and light? Or would there be better suggestions? Thanks! What paint color to use?
Use curtains with a liner layer, preferably light blocking. White on the exterior will help bounce the most heat and light outward, and since they are lined you can have any color you want on the interior!

Curtains are relatively simple to sew (a square with a couple of hems), but you can buy them anywhere. It you can't find lined curtains within your budget, try layered shower curtains (as long as the length works). What paint color to use?

You should buy some light blocking curtains. They sell them in many stores (including Walmart) and they are also energy efficient. They keep cool air and heat inside and prevent leaky windows. They are a bit pricey compared to other curtain panels, around $30 a panel. They are worth it though. They saved me about 20% on my energy bill every month!

Should a carbon fiber hood be the same color as the body paint?

Im trying to convinve my dad to buy me a old honda prelude . The car is red but the carbon fiber hood is black. My dad is convinced that the hood should be the same color as the car and because of this, he wont buy the car. I said that he is wrong and thats just how the hood should be. Whos right?Should a carbon fiber hood be the same color as the body paint?
Usually the carbon fiber hood is kept black because its gets you ';street credit'; but you can and I've seen dozen of cars with painted carbon.

By adding a urethane additive to the paint will help it flex more to prevent the paint from cracking. Any competent body shop that has their act together would know about making your paint more flexible. It's slightly more expensive than 'regular' paint, but it will flex more and also buffs out very nice.

Race cars use carbon technology in parts such as fenders, bumpers and wings that are painted and cant even tell its Carbon Fiber by looking at it.Should a carbon fiber hood be the same color as the body paint?
you can actually get carbon fiber in many differant colors now adays but to answer your question you are right the hood is an add on and being carbon fiber it usually is black or grey, let your dad know that the carbon fiber hood is actually an upgrade and if he were to look up the price of an original hood and the carbon fiber the carbon fiber would most likely cost more. Tell your dad that the cabon fiber hood is actually usually put on because it's very durable but lightweight as oppsed to the heavy factory hood which would dent with less force it would take to damage carbon fiber.
yes, crabon fibre is suppose to be that color.i dont suggest painting over it.You neve know what chemical changes you might cause.

im pretty sure you can buy colored Carbon fibre, but it may still look a little off.

Itll get you MAD street cred with that CF hood.Next thing you wanna get is 14 inch wheels////////

no.tell him thats how racers drive in japan and show him pics of uthentic JDM cars.
i wont look good if the carbon fiber is the same color as the car its better if the car is red
carbon fiber is not supposed to be colored you wuldnt be able to tell it was carbon fiber and i dnt even think you can pain it but yes you are right it should not match the car
Your are right I dont think i have ever seen a carbon fiber hood that is the same color as a car. Most carbon fiber is always black and kinda grey. So you are right.
YOU are because a carbon fiber hood is supposed to be black.
you are, the carbon fiber hood is an add on, and its exposed to be that colour, you dont paint a carbon fiber hood.
You're right ! why buy carbon fiber for looks and then paint it when a fiberglass hood would be cheaper if its for saving weight.
He's right, the car should all be one color and not different colors like ricers do these days. You can still use a carbon fiber hood and paint it the color of the car but this is only used for weight reduction. Leave the carbon fiber for the expensive super cars.

It looks like the decorator (in the picture) picked something more of a lavender color -- they did a 2 tone treatment (same color 1 lighter/1 darker). You might try that. If you don't have chair rail molding like they have in the picture, you can get the same result by using blue painter's tape and measuring from the floor, tape off at a height you choose. Typically, you put the darker color on the bottom -- otherwise, it looks like the wall is falling toward you. Or, you could add chair rail molding. Get a thin strip of wood and attach it on the wall at the same height all around the room. It will add an additional architectural accent as well. You can paint it two tone (as mentioned above), or you can paint it all one color.

You could, for example, chose a soft, warm yellow for the walls. With that, you might want to use something with a pattern for curtains -- curtains that have green in them for a change of color pace, but also with a color found in the bedding:

    http://i17.ebayimg.com/07/i/000/b9/71/1a鈥?/a>

(I realize this example is a tad 'formal,' but you get the idea).

Include green/yellow throw pillows on the bed so things 'tie in' together.

Many times, we O.D. on the colors we love and it seemingly leaves us little room to use other colors. If you think about the room in a different sense, though, (like I said, compliment vs. match), you'll create a well-rounded space color-wise.

    Hope this was helpful.
If you notice in the picture in the link the walls are a pretty lavender color. That would be really pretty for a 4 year old. I have seen it done and you could perhaps accent it with a nice light shade of green or you could contrast it with a dark and light shade of purple with the crown molding splitting the colors (like the picture).
Either the Blue or Purple found on the comforter would be cool- or do one wall blue and the rest purple- o9r the opposite. You can also go a few shades lighter or darker than what is actually the colour on the comforter. Pink accents would be good - just a few little items around the rooms...
i would say the blue definitaley......but maybe do each wall a different color becuase the dark might be ablie to use as an accent wall

one wall blue, one wall cream, one wall pink, one wall purple

that would be fun for a little girl too
you could paint it lilac/mauve just like the pillow of the bedding set and this picture that I'm sending you .

Best color to paint a house to sell it the fastest?

Hello, here is some information for your consideration:

When painting your home for resale, choosing the right colors can make a huge difference in your paycheck at closing. For instance, did you know that the exterior color of houses selling most quickly is a certain shade of yellow, but that choosing the wrong shade of yellow can kill a sale?

You'll find many brochures in paint stores, showing various combinations of exterior paint colors. But most people don't realize that most of those combinations actually include three colors, and not just two. Limiting your exterior paint scheme to just two colors also limits your income potential.

For a fast sale, think fun colors and go for a third, or even a fourth, exterior color. Think ';Disneyland Main Street,'; where every shop is painted in glorious multi-colors. Adding more colors will also add definition to the various architectural details of your home. Use gloss or semi-gloss paint on wood trim.

    The Psychology of Exterior Colors

    When choosing exterior colors, take the sales price of your home into account. Certain colors, especially muted, complex shades, attract wealthy or highly-educated buyers, whereas buyers with less income or less education generally prefer simpler colors. A complex color contains tints of gray or brown, and usually requires more than one word to describe, such as ';sage green,'; as opposed to ';green.';

On the other hand, simple colors are straightforward and pure. Generally, houses in the lower price range sell faster and for higher prices when painted in simple colors like yellow or tan, accented by white, blue, or green trim.

    The Psychology of Interior Colors

Using colored, rather than bland, white walls will increase your profit potential. Lynette Jennings tested the perception of room size and color, and discovered that a room painted white appeared only appeared larger to a few people when compared to an identical room painted in color – and the perceived difference was only about six inches! Most people also look better when surrounded by color, and feel happier, and since buyers pick houses that make them feel happy, that knowledge can put dollars in your pocket at closing!

Entryways should bring the exterior colors into the house. Repeating shades of the exterior throughout your home will make the entire home seem to be in harmony. Living and family rooms painted in a slightly lighter shade of the exterior color will ensure that you've picked a color your buyers like, because if they didn't like your exterior colors, they wouldn't have bothered to look inside. If they loved the exterior colors, they'll love the interior, too.

When choosing interior colors, consider the use of each room. For instance, kitchen and dining areas that are painted in “food colors,” such as coffee browns, celery greens, and scrambled egg yellows, feel natural.

Since, deeper shades of color imply intimacy and serenity, I like to paint master bedrooms a medium shade of green or blue for warm selling seasons, and rouge red for cooler weather. Other bedrooms can be painted in creamy tones of green, blue, or a pale shell pink. (See the chapter on the Psychology of Color in my book ';Joy to the Home: Secrets of Interior Design Psychology'; for further information.)

    Selling Season

Always consider your selling season (the time of year you'll be marketing your home) and climate when choosing colors. Estimate the amount of time you'll need to get your home ready for sale, and then add on extra days for unexpected delays. Use cool colors, such as blues, greens, and grays, to sell during spring and summer, and warm colors, such as yellows, reds, and maroons, when selling in the fall and winter.

    Color Intensity

My husband and I usually use lighter colors when painting the exteriors of our investment dollhouses, because it makes them appear larger. On the other hand, our cabin in the woods looks richer when painted a darker color. When we decided to have it painted, I considered the usual cabin colors of dark brown and barn red, but fell in love with Olympic’s gorgeous ';Gooseberry'; plum color.

When getting ready to paint your house, look at the colors of neighboring houses and choose colors that harmonize, yet stand out from the crowd. Colors that clash badly with other houses will detract from the overall neighborhood.

At the beginning of the article, I told you that homes with yellow exteriors sell the quickest. But which shade of yellow sells best? First, the yellows to avoid: yellows with green undertones look sickly to most buyers, and yellows with orange undertones give buyers an impression of cheapness.

The best-selling yellow exterior color is actually a pale, sunny yellow, especially when complimented with one or more carefully-chosen accent colors. For instance, a semi-gloss white trim will give your home a clean and fresh look, and adding a third color, such as green, can make your home even more attractive to prospective buyers.

Colors affect human beings in many ways, and by using the principles of Color Psychology, you can make your home stand out from the competition, sell more quickly, and at a higher price.Best color to paint a house to sell it the fastest?
Keep it neutral; it adds light and makes the rooms look larger. Also remember to keep the clutter to a minimum.Best color to paint a house to sell it the fastest?
always white. i like forest green trim makes it look clean
when the Realtors call me to paint It's always antique white and a flat Finish
people like a clean slate...I would suggest an off white, not too bright.
A very natural color, you don't want it to be very extreme because that can deter some buyers. So go with a white or a tan or something along those lines.
I reccomend white. White is a common color and it gives people a better look at the house and it's easier for them to imagine it in a different color.

    Best House Color to Sell

Love at first sight is a concept that applies to the real estate market. So, what is the best house color to sell your home to a love struck buyer?

    Best House Color to Sell

When you go to social events, do you make an effort to snazzy yourself up? Of course you do. The simply fact is attraction is a key factor in forming relationships and the same applies to your house. When you put the house on the market, you need to make it look good for the dates with potential buyers. The color of your house can make all the difference.

First, there is no absolutely correct answer to the best color. Instead, the decision depends on the makeup of your home and the surrounding landscape. Let's take a look at some issues:

    1. Whatever color you choose, make sure it doesn't clash with the other homes in the neighborhood. An otherwise appropriate color could end up making your house an eye-sore.

    2. The Roof. What color is the roof on your home? If it is a red tile roof, off-whites are probably going to be the best choice. Dark green will not. Unless you are going to invest money in a new roof, make sure the paint color doesn't clash with it.

    3. Highlights. If there is a particular part of your house that should be emphasized, used light colored paint around it to draw attention.

    4. Hide It! Conversely, if there are parts of the house that are mundane, use darker colors to draw attention away from them.

    5. On large flat surfaces, such as the side of a garage, keep in mind the color you choose will have a washed out appearance.

Now we get to the fun part. After considering the above issues, make a preliminary list of colors and buy small cans of each color. In a private area of the house, start applying samples strokes a couple feet long and a foot or so wide. Try to paint examples in both shaded areas and those exposed to the sun.

Do not immediately judge the results of your experiments. Instead, wait a few hours for the paint to dry and then start comparing. Dry paint takes on a very different appearance than wet paint.

Once the paint is dry, take a long look at each sample. You will typically find the colors look much different than you thought they would. You may find one color is perfect or you may find something a little different would be best. Either way, you'll have come up with the best house color to sell your home.
any light colour - it makes the roomes look bigger so stay away from dark colours and you will be ok.

  • To get the exact color of paint, do you have to cut a piece out of your wall, or is there another way?

what else can you do?To get the exact color of paint, do you have to cut a piece out of your wall, or is there another way?
You'll never get an ';exact'; match, but the matches you get will be close enough. The best way is to cut a piece of your wall. The best place to take a piece from is under a light switch cover or outlet cover. If you can't get a piece from one of those spots around molding and windows is a nice spot. You don't need a big piece. A chip the size of your fingernail is big enough. To get the exact color of paint, do you have to cut a piece out of your wall, or is there another way?
    The truth is

    1) Impossible to match from a colour chart. If you think that's the colour, when you get it mixed, it's 3 fields and a dike out.

    2) Colour shops have a hand held machine that scans the colour and gives them the possible colour code to mix. Still different.

    3) Then you have shade batch problems

    4) If the colour has been on a while, it would have changed colour slightly from dirt and sun shine

So, in short, you won't get the exact colour unless you have the old tin.
Places that sell paint have colored pieces of paper you can take home and match to your wall. Then take the paper back to the paint store and tell them what you want.

My bedsheet is red what color should i paint my walls?

i want a vibrant color for my walls but somthing that will go well with my bed.......thanksMy bedsheet is red what color should i paint my walls?
I probably would not paint the walls to match the bedding. It is usually best to paint the walls a color you love and then find bedding to match. If you love red, then I would paint the room red if I were you. If the bedding blends and doesn't do it for you, then get new bedding. Much easier to change bedding than wall color, so make sure you love your wall color choice. My bedsheet is red what color should i paint my walls?
I would go with a neutral color unless you plan to repaint every time you do laundry.

    Paint color ideas?

i need paint ideas for interior of new house, any suggestions, i only have living room so far color is butterscotch sundae.Paint color ideas?
It definitely depends on your personality. Personally, I think if you have colorful furniture, pillows, bedding, etc. then you want nuetral colored walls. If you have neutral colors in your furniture then you want quite a bit more color on your walls. I have a nuetral gold in my kitchen and a grassy green in my dining room. My kids rooms have a color similar to burlap. Their bedding and curtains are bright colored. People always compliment my color choices. Yellows are very cheery and great for kitchens (don't go too bright), and blues and greens can be great for any room. I love red but didn't use it because I thought I would get tired of it fast. Go with your favorite colors and don't be scared! You'll love it. Be brave to use brighter or darker colors. They make rooms look bigger, cleaner and brighter than you expect! Make sure to use a high quality paint like Sherwin Williams or Kelley Moore. Have fun!Paint color ideas?
go with beige/creme/tan/off white through - until you can decide what to do. these are all neutrals and will work with existing furniture, drapes/curtains, bedding, etc. later, after you have lived there a while you can redo the rooms to better suite you.

Should I paint my bedroom with horizontal or vertical stripes? Colors: Venezuelan Sea [Dark GreenBlue] & White

If you want to make the ceiling feel higher and give some height to the room go with vertical stripes. If you want to make the room itself feel bigger go with the horizontal, but do them in wide bands (3-4) so that you would wind up with blue, white, blue, white or blue, white, blue.Should I paint my bedroom with horizontal or vertical stripes? Colors: Venezuelan Sea [Dark GreenBlue] %26amp; White
depends on the size of the bedroom - smaller than 11X11, go with vertical - if it's larger, than you can try the horizontal, but I think it will make you dizzy over time because that's a dramatic change - maybe dark green blue and something 2 - 3 shades lighter would work better in a horizontal pattern.Should I paint my bedroom with horizontal or vertical stripes? DO NOT go horizonal. That will look terrible. All stripes in decorating are vertical. Use that blue painters tape and a level to measure the area equally.

What kind of purple are you painting it? Is it a deep purple or more like lavender?

You could always play it safe and go with white. I think if you have a deep purple, you should get some furniture that are light blue or maybe even red. For lavenderish, you should tr some light colors light green, baby blue, soft yellow, something of that sort).

    Hope it helps.

-JenniferI want to paint my room purple, but i dont know what to do to my furniture colors like the couch frames, lamps,?
After painting room bright purple -

1] be sure all metals same color [ brass/gold, or chrome/silver, or black

2] add some white or off white [ lamp shades, a fluffy rug, etc ]

3] repeat wall color in small accesssories [ dec pillows, candles ]

4] add some of the metal in small desk or dresser accessories

5] maybe chrome or brass framed, lavender matted posters? ]

6] most natural woods, white, or black will go well with purples
You'll have to match the exact shades to coexist but a pink, yellow and green will go with a purple the shade of violets.

  • Can I paint wood from cherry wood color to white?

I want to re-paint my kitchen from cherry wood color to white . Originally it was oak color, but now I think it is so dark and want to paint white. Looking for any advice. Thanks every one!Can I paint wood from cherry wood color to white?
I would remove the cabinet doors and if necessary, remove the hinges (you might want to replace them with a different color or style at this point as well).

I'd wash the cabinets and doors with a solution of TSP and then wipe them down with clean water and then dry them thoroughly.

I'd lightly sand the cabinets and doors just to scuff them a bit. Since cabinet doors are generally not very flat, you can use one of those sanding sponges that they sell to get in the cracks and grooves. You don't need to do a great job of sanding, just helps improve the paint adhering.

Prime, let dry and then paint (a couple of coats is a good idea) with a good semi-gloss or gloss interior paint.

Let everything dry and then re-install the cabinet doors.

One word of caution, we did this last year and love the way it looks, but white cabinets show the dirt and spills that occur in a kitchen quite well. Just one thing to consider. Can I paint wood from cherry wood color to white?
You must remove all the hardware first, to properly clean the panels of grease accumilations. Next you must assertain what the 'final existing finish' is. After determineing wheather it is 'varnish' or 'polyurethane' you must decide the appropiate 'next layer' to apply. Proper 'scuffing' is the next step to make sure that the final finish has proper adheasion and durabillity to withstand re-peatted cleanings. Enamel paint can now be adjusted to humidity and temperature fluxuations on a trustworthy basis for proper application and fluid smoothness in most circumstances. The thing is to maintain many of the most basic precautions of brush choice, timely application and spaced away air-times.
Yes, it is possible. The first step is to wash all the residue from the wood. Secondly, prime the cupboards with a good latex primer. Then paint your woodwork white. I've done this so many times I feel like I can do it in my sleep! I went from oak to white to hunter green and now a terra cotta color with dark green stencil (my counter tops are hunter green) and painted the walls a lighter color of the terra cotta.

I painted my living room, I ran out of paint and bought more. The colors dont match. Any suggestions?

Let the new paint thoroughly dry, just to make sure. And look at them in daylight. Otherwise, you may have to redo the old with the new.I painted my living room, I ran out of paint and bought more. The colors dont match. Any suggestions?
Even if you took the color code from your original bucket to properly match once you stop painting and it dries, it's difficult to re-match. That is why it is so important to buy all you need and always have extra left for re-touches down the road. You will have to repaint the entire area if you want a clean one color job.I painted my living room, I ran out of paint and bought more. The colors dont match. Any suggestions?
Take the empty bucket of paint along with the new bucket of paint back to the store...show them the empty bucket (there should be leftovers inside) and tell them you need that color. They should fix it for you. Hopefully, you tested the paint in a small location on the wall...just get some primer and primer over that spot.
Did you have it mixed at the paint store? Take the can that doesn't match and the original one back and have them remix the color so it is correct.
mix it with another colour and there have the same colour but if you mix it again it'll be another colour

You can add pictures %26amp; photos that have black, white, %26amp; silver or gold in them. Depending on your style and the floor you can go with almost any color.

Contemporary'; Go with Dove Grey walls and use chrome accent pieces.

Eclectic? Go for yellow walls and assorted accents.

Traditional? Beige/cream/tan walls and gold accents.

Country/cottage? Use blue or green walls with a combination of pewter, gold, and silver accent pieces.

With any of these repeat the wall color in throw pillows, lamp shades, vases, pictures, candles, rugs, etc.

I also have black leather furniture in my family room. The walls are painted in a color that looks like coffee with cream in it. The wall color is bold enough to handle the black color of the furniture with being overpowering. My accents are dark red, gold and a pattern that includes both. The flooring is a medium stain oak hardwood. Does the room lead into any others with an open floorplan? Let one room play into the next when choosing color. Red from the pillows in my family room leads to my red kitchen (Long John Red from Ralph Lauren - my favorite) and then goes to my dining room where I have a light butter gold color for the drapes on a bay window. The common thing that ties all the rooms together is white wood trim and the white cabinets in my kitchen. Don't be afraid to make a mistake. Paint is easy to fix. I finally found the exact red I was looking for my kitchen after 7 other tries. Good luck.
Anything you want. Black is a neutral. What makes you happy? What is your basic design style? It all matters when you are choosing colors. You can do contemporary or you can choose traditional depending on the style of your leather sofas. So which is it? You haven't given any info that would allow anyone to properly give you color or design choices.

latex and acrylic paints are both water based paints and can be mixed to make different colors. the only variation will be in the finish ie; glossy, satin or flat since most acrylic paints are flat. Can you combine Latex and Acrylic Paints to achieve different colors?
They are both water based so yes. At least, all the ones I've seen described as latex and acrylic are water based. Check the labels to be 100% sure. Alkyd is oil based.
No you can not mix. One paint is oiled based and one is water based. Water and oil don't mix.

  • Does anyone know of a paint color known as apple cider?

Do you have a color sample , if so most paint stores can match it , as far as the name , you can not determine that unless you know the brand of paint , and the brand is important , for example a color from ICI paints under the name ICI Dulux Paint will not have the same color name as say the Ralph Lauren line of paint even though Ralph Lauren paint is made by ICI as a cheaper ,more ammonia diluted brand to be sold at discount stores. Many Cheaper paints are made by top brands ,but have different names for their colors , most all colors have a number code that will identify the brand of paint. A color sample will be less of a headache trying to find than just a name of a color.Does anyone know of a paint color known as apple cider?
I totally agree with that answer. The name is not relative. Sherwin Wms. may call a yellow ';apple cider'; color. Someone else may call ';apple cider'; a light, pale red. See? Maybe you can ';Google'; house paints and then colors or something like that. BTW, retailers that sell major labels such as Sher.Wm., Valspar, Ben. Moore etc. often can look in their computer for that color. If they sell it, then they will have the formula on file.

Will bright or vivid colors in a nursery room aggrivate a baby? Im told not to paint the walls to much.....?

I was told that a brighter color was good in the nursery as long as it wasn't too overpowering...it is supposed to stimulate them. However, a lot of people believe that mellow colors are more soothing and relaxing to infants. I think that as a parent you need to choose for yourself- there really is no right or wrong answer! Will bright or vivid colors in a nursery room aggrivate a baby? Im told not to paint the walls to much.....?
It is all about lighting. I painted my babies room a vibrant blue and have primary colors all over the place. My husband and I bought canvasas and painted animals in all sort of colors. I however, put low wattage bulbs in the lights and it is not overpowering at all. It needs to be stimulating but not overpowering.

You can do a powerful color/s but tone it down with whites....and lighting. Will bright or vivid colors in a nursery room aggrivate a baby? Im told not to paint the walls to much.....?
Actually they say to keep colors around babies because it helps their eyes to adjust faster. Try doing bright colors in the bedding and around the crib, or instead of painting the whole room a vivid color try doing one wall with different colors and shapes as the accent wall for the nursery.
babies can't see pastels well. imo, vibrant colors are better. gives them something they can actually look at. if it's nap time, dim the room.
Sometimes a lot of bright colors will over stimulate the baby
it could be overstimulating; maybe just use them 4 accents to the room

My recommendation would be to choose a neutral color to coordinate with the burgundy - like ';crushed ice.';I painted my livingroom wall a burgundy color and don't know what color to paint my other wall and kitchen
    beige.
go with a contrasting neutral color like coffee/khaki....it will look just as warm as the warm burgandy but help tie the two rooms together yet not make them look so small!
not too sure if i am going to spell this color right but i suggest a beage or a dark white
i have a burgundy wall in one of my bedrooms and painted the other walls a light light taupe color. looks great, the burgundy added a nice contrast. you may even think about doing the kitchen in a celery/sage color. green is in.
Is it with only one side of the wall?If you painted one side, then do the same color with opposite wall also.Paint the both the middle walls with peach color.Paint your kitchen with same burgundy as a border and peach in the middle. For cabinets again go for burgundy.
Brown, yes brown, any shade, not boring beige.

and, if there are any bulkheads and such in the kitchen area, highlight with a very very soft yellow.

    Trust me :-)
no you havent messed up yet ! I would take a sample of the bugandy to the store you bought it at . and then have them show you lighter shades that they can blend for you. pick the one you like and get it in a semi gloss ! to do your kitchen in ! remember kitchens and baths should be done in a semi gloss or a satin finish ! have fun with it !
mauve makes a nice contrast to burgandy.

    mint green in the kitchen.

beige always works if don't wish to work with colors.
beige would be a nice color and it is nuetral you will be all set.and your home will look cozy and warm.

Can I repaint over my walls with the same color of paint?

So my walls are white, and when I was younger, I used to draw on them with pens, sharpies, pencil crayons...etc; I am so sick and tired of seeing all the mess on my wall and I really want to paint over them. So would it be possible to cover them all up, and if so, what kind of paint would I have to use? Thank you!Can I repaint over my walls with the same color of paint?
Oh - lots to know about paint.... I've been a painter for many years and have encountered these problems.

Anytime you have pen marks on the wall - perhaps sharpies - crayons - they will bleed through paint. So you can paint over them 144 times and they'll bleed through.

So what you'll need on that is a stain-fighter primer - like ';Kilz'; - ask at Lowe's or Home Depot if you got one. It's fairly cheap. Put a coat or two on all the marks.

THEN the very best way to paint a wall is to use the same color. But you have to take in something which has paint on it. I've sometimes cut a piece of the wall out and taken it to the store - but then I can plaster the wall back together.

If you can get a sample from your room - take it in to Lowe's or Home Depot and spend a few minutes with the paint guy matching that as perfectly as possible. You have to match color - but you want to match ';sheen'; too if possible.

Then when you paint your wall, it saves a lot of work - many times you don't even have to paint up next to stuff.

So always match paint. That's what us landlords always do.

good luckCan I repaint over my walls with the same color of paint?
To ensure you definitely cover over the ink on your walls, I would use Kilz primer first (it will seal in the ink/crayon so it doesn't bleed through the new paint) and then paint over the dried Kilz with your wall color.
    obviously,dude it's ur property u can do anythin.hahahhaha jk

yeah u can repaint it with same color.
Yes but make sure you use primer first. If you don't know what that is ask the guy at Home Depot or wherever you go to get the paint.

Where can i find my car's factory paint color? I have a 1998 Lincoln Continental, with a pearl white finish?

  • What color should I paint my room?

    Maybe lavender with white accents.
    I would paint my room

    lavender or amber.

Behr paint is really expensive so find a color you want and match that to a cheaper brand. At least that's what I do.

    -Good luck-
sky blue for ur kitchen and white for ur bathroom
Like a burgandy.......or some redish color, but not bright red. Your bathroom, should be blue, white and yellow, have stars, moon and the sun!
A soft french vanilla with a nice border.

    Or

A half wall. Keep the top with the wallpaper and make the bottom half with nice white chair rail and cove.

    Or

A nice textured paint with a hint of blue.
First, get rid of the wallpaper!!

With the countertops being that color, I'd stick with blue or parchment for the walls. If you went with gray, it would look too ';institutional';.

Now, if you want to paint the counter tops (http://www.thriftyfun.com/tf999197.tip.h鈥?/a> the possibilities would be endless!!

Take a look at a color called ';utterly beige'; (# 6080). With that wall color, really any color furnishings %26amp; accents will match it.I have hardwood flooring in brazilian cherry what color should I paint my walls?
    Hi,

One thing to consider if your floors are real Brazilian cherry is that it's a photosensitive wood. That means that your floors will change color as they're exposed to light over time, from light brown to a deep burgundy, depending on exposure. With this in mind, know that the colors you choose now will not likely be entirely uniform with the way your floors will look later on.

The best way to approach decoration then, is to consider color accents which will fit in well with this kind of color spectrum. My advice would be to go to your local painting and decorating location, and talk to the experts there about your photosensitive flooring. They may be able to pinpoint specific color matches that will work in the long term as well as in the short term.

    Good luck with your project!
With that color of floor, you should really want it to stand out. Use a medium light or light pastel that has a flat or eggshell finish, this will make the shine in the floor itself to stand out. You can use a darker color like a slate style green with that same lo luster finish. The big thing to really make the whole thing ';POP'; is to use a semi gloss white Finish on your doors and trim. This will really define your floor and highlight your walls through out your home. Remember to use your colors by odd numbers, 3-floor, walls and trim. for some reason the odd number of items in any format (pictures, colors, plants) always create a balanced flow.
I have no idea if I am any good with this, but I would suggest a royal red or a deep coffee colour. If you want a lighter colour maybe a green (I think there is one called ';Kelly Green';)

What color should we paint our family room walls?

we have a cathedral popcorn white ceiling, a new beige leather sectional, a brick fireplace going up to the ceiling and are close to deciding on a beige berber wall to wall carpet and chocolate brown ottoman and storage benches. we have children aged 2 and 4.What color should we paint our family room walls?
off-white. especially if you have children or smokers. bright white WILL stain ;)What color should we paint our family room walls?
I would consider a nice cream color. It will make the room larger and should compliment your carpet and brick.
Go to behr.com and check out the colors Sunset Beige and Applesauce Cake. They are not brown, not red, not beige...not sure how to describe. But, I just used these two colors in my family room (with green and brown furnitre), and in my kitchen respectively (with brick red chairs). I continuously get compliments about how warm and cozy the rooms feels.
Try putting on several samples about 2' x 2' on a wall at eye level. you can purchase quart size cans of the colors you choose. go to a quality paint store, not a home re-build store, and talk to a rep.

I would stay in the warm tones. browns %26amp; golds are very good colors to accent your room, plus you can do a faux finish with glazing after painting to give you the sense of depth and that warm cozy feeling in your family room. Try a color that is close to a tan suede, buckskin, or camel back. Since you have kids, do not use flat, use eggshell or higher sheen. you can wash theese sheens.
Either light blue or light yellow. It will keep the room bright and happy looking.
You could do almost anything with your accents. If you want to make it cheery I would do a medium blue.. think bright sunny day ocean blue and continue with the chocolate brown wood work. Dark brown frames with cream-colored matting would be beautiful along with a chocolate-colored throw over the couch. I can just see it now.. Oh - what color brick is it?
a Light to Medium Brown would be nice to compliment the fireplace and sofa. Or you could try a cream/tan kinda color.

Nice choice for a bed set.... I love the green for the walls, but use a shade or two lighter . Use the blue color from the bed for the trim. And the ceiling white, to make the room look larger. Lastly, if you really want to be bold, paint one wall purple and again one or two shades lighter ,from the colors off the bed set.
Love the choc brown with it but it may get to be too dark......depending on your room size and such. A light electric blue would be pretty cool. Like sky blue but with a brighter tone.
I love that! I think the lighter green in the bedspread is a good color. It will coordinate and also go with many other things.
Have you thought about chocolate brown? It's really pretty with blue and pink and alot of other colors.
a light green, like the hearts on the bed set.
either a brown or a white
light blue or plain white will be pretty.

  • What color should I paint my living/dining room?

Hi. I need help with painting my living room and the dining room. I have chocolate brown sofas/coffee table, beige carpet in the living room. The Dining room has Oak Furniture. The entrance has Brazilian Cherry Color Hardwood. The living room and the dining room are attached. I don't want to paint it a really dark color because then it will make the entire area seem small. Contrary to this popular myth, dark wall colors do not make your room look smaller. A darker color can add depth to a room and make it actually seem larger. Having said that the other posters here are right to suggest a soft green hue, sage or the like.

You could also get a little funky and try some soft orange hues with a coppery feel. Orange colors go extremely well with hardwood flooring. You are spot on with the idea of dialing your accent wall a few shades darker and bolder. It will liven up the area nicely.
Use Sherwin Williams Color Visualizer to try out different colors.

A nice blue green (with more blue than green) would look beautiful with brown. Get some paint samples in that color range to see what works with your furniture. I would use silver as an accent color.
A light sage green or khaki color will be great with the brown sofas.

Eskie is absolutely correct. I like Zinser products. I also often use KILZ, even in it's oil base it can be painted over with latex.
Try a standard white primer tinted to a mid gray
A product called Bullseye 123 will do an excellent job for you
Any kind of sealer. It goes on white but it covers everything. We used Bin but there are cheaper ones at WalMart.
There are several, and all will work to a degree. I like KILLZ because it has excellent adhesion to just about any surface that is not water.

    KILZ

    2 Latex Primer Sealer
Benjamin Moore ';Fresh Start'; primer. Have primer tinted to new wall color.
A good one, for sure, the better the primer the easier job you will have. I like Dunn-Edwards ';Ultra Grip'; primer. One coat and it is ready for anything

Looks bright during the day and not too dark at night. It will also transition well with your warm beige color.

This pattern would make some funky drapes! :)What color should i paint my kitchen?
I just painted mine a basil green and it looks beautiful with dark cherry cabinets and dining room set! The color is a warm color, yet is not so bold that it closes the room in!!
go with a light color to reflect light a pure white might even look good
if you like the way red looks with the cherry wood, but find it too dark, then you could compromise by painting the walls in a light salmon color. the red undertones in the salmon will compliment the rich cherry tones in the cabinets without giving the space a heavy,closed-in feel.

    check out these colors: Sherwin Williams: ';persimmon';, ';smoky salmon';, ';coral island';, ';mellow coral';
I'd go for a warm creamy yellow, it would bring light into the room.
A soft pale sage would compliment the lovely cherry wood and also would work along the warm beige in the dining room! :)

i need a color that will match my aqua blue blue silky comforter...but it cant be purple paint because i have a red flag hanging up and i just prefer not to put red and purple together if ya catch my drift.... haha i would really appreciate the helpWhat color should i paint my room???
PINK GOES REALLY GOOD W/ AQUA BUT PINK WONT LOOK GOOD W/ UR RED FLAG! MAYBE A WARM COLOR LIKE UMM...A BEIGE CREME COLOR...NO WHITE OR OFF WHITE COLOR THOUGH CAUSE THAT IS SOOO BORING! CHOCOLATE BROWN GOES LIKE REALLY GOOD W/ AQUA ALSO BUT IF YOU HAVE A SMALL ROOM THEN BROWN WILL MAKE IT SEEM LIKE REALLY SMALL!What color should i paint my room???
    Yellow
    very light green.
    PINK
I think a soft buttery color would be pretty, with white trim.
Britt the be, go to your local paint store and pick up paint samples. Take them home and see what suits you the best. What is your favorite color? Look at a color wheel and see what goes with the colors you already have. Some colors are restful, some are really kicky. Since it is your bedroom, maybe restful? Just find what makes you feel really happy and use that color.
a very sweet color like light purple.
Well wouldn't Aqua Blue go nice with a tan color. That kind of blue reminds me of matching a Shoreline with a Beach sand Tan and the Aqua Blue Pacific. Or even a Yellow color that seems to go well with Blue. But I have a feeling the Red flag you speak of Might not be the kind of flag I normally would think of hanging on a wall.
    BRIGHT YELLOW
    Dusty rose. Lose the flag.
kinda boring, but I bet a sand color would look great with an aqua room. Also, it would go great with tthe ';seaglass'; theme I suggested for your bathroom! Do a sandy color for the walls and then a matching aqaua rug on the florr. Hang black and white pictures in aqua frames!
How about a very pale yellow. Really soft and pastel colored yellow.
a darker shade of blue.... or lavender =)
Pretty orange! Or a milky orange.
yellow, any shade of it would match your comforter!
    Why not just white?
    bright turquoise
    canary yellow

What color should i paint my bedroom...?

Any ideas. What color should i paint my bedroom...?
Watery blue (a little green in it) is very current with dark brown. What color should i paint my bedroom...?
Soft greens and blues are great colors for a bedroom (very calming) and thye go great with dark brown.
It would depend on if you were leaning toward a warm gray or cool gray. For a bedroom and with a brown trim I would suggest a warm gray. Perhaps something like Sherwin WIlliams color

Intellectual Gray (SW 7045) or Anonymous (SW 4046).

For an accent a plum around the same value could be beautiful. Maybe something like Sherwin Williams

    Exclusive Plum (SW 6263)

or a warm Terra Cotta (my favorite paint color right now) like Sherwin Williams

    Backed Clay (SW 6340)

With any of these creamy white accents in the rest of your decor would be lovely. Hope this helps.

    Good Luck!
    mustard
blue and neon orange and neon green
a golden brown with periwinkle accents. very sophisticated and sultry.

What color should I paint my walls? I have solid color purple drapes, cream color carpet and dk green sofas.?

like a yellowish brown...lilac, or a rosy purpleWhat color should I paint my walls? I have solid color purple drapes, cream color carpet and dk green sofas.?
I would go with a cream color in the same palette as the carpet. Hold paint chips against the carpet to get an idea of what color cream you'll need. Some creams have yellow undertones, others might have grey or even rosy undertones. Make sure it's a good match. I would go either a shade lighter than the carpet, or a shade darker for the walls. I might consider painting the ceilings a very light shade of the cream.

I would add some throw pillows that combine the purples, green, and cream. Maybe an abstract print, stripes, or a paisley, if your sofas and drapes are solids. You could mix throw pillows with solids. Add a cozy chenille fringed throw in rich cream to your sofa.

Bring in some sparkle with mirrors framed to complement your furnishings. Burnished gold or rustic, brown wrought iron, or even black, might work. It would depend on the style and formality of your other things.

Bring out the green and complement the purple and creams with silk or real plants and trees (ficus, palm, etc.) in the room.

I would add some purple accents in art work, vases, candles, etc.

Good luck with your room. What color should I paint my walls? I have solid color purple drapes, cream color carpet and dk green sofas.?
    A rusty gold.
I think I would go with off white, najvaho white is nice or you could go a very light purple
I would paint the walls cream if it were Me.
I would go with a light creamy yellow with white ceilings and white trim. It will go great with the carpet and sofa. However, I am not sure about the purple drapes and green sofa. Maybe get some new curtains???? But it may looks great. Purple and yellow go great together but am not sure of the 3 colors together. Good luck!
I must admit that the two colours you mention are not colours that I would personally think about using myself, however how about two tones of orange on your walls? You could have a darker burnt orange with a more peachy colour just to brighten the place up a little.:)
either a neutral color like white, cream, or tan if you want more color pick a light green that is in the same color family as the sofa (find the sofa color on a paint chip and pick the lightest brightest color up from that) or a bright yellow if the room seems dark and you want it to look bigger and brighter.
Smokey toupe. This is a tan color
    dark tan.
Cream or a soft soft buttery yellow.

Then do not add any more colors! 3 colors in enough to have in one room and the max that shouod be allowed as a rule of thumb in interior decorating.
    I agree with Tks

What color should I paint my toenails?

I'm getting a pedicure today and I always get black or red. I'd like to try something different... what colors do you think look good? What color should I paint my toenails?
Bubble gum pink is a great way to give the illusion that your feet are tanned when wearing sandals. A great way to fake it this time of the year until we get some sunshine! What color should I paint my toenails?
Neons! Their the latest trend according to my people style watch magazine. Try bright pinks, yellow, green, blue or purple. However, if your not comfortable with those brights then get a medium peach or a coral. Those are everyday good colors and compliment almost any skin tone.
Fiesta pink. Its beautiful, Ive gotten so many comments about my ped and mani. I had them decorate with black, white and silver only one nail per hand and foot. Im a red kinda girl myself I took a chance and it turned out pretty well. Good luck!
ha ha that's the funniest question i've seen on here in a while!! go red... any other weird color would just be gross. i.e. green, black, yellow... yikes, i could just imagine what people could mistake that as being...

What color should i paint my living room to make it look more spacious since it is small?

the current color is half red half beige. i don't know if that is the right color for a small space.what do you think? What color should i paint my living room to make it look more spacious since it is small?
You should paint your room in lighter color. Try a light shade of celadon green, icy blue, butter milk, or just white.

You could also try to take out extra decors, paintings, etc, and fit your room decorations in with your wall color. Also, let as much natural light into your living room as you can. This will all help make your living room seem more spacious.

    Hope this helps!

The use of color is also something very personal. It stimulates our senses, power our mood, and helps create a particular ambiance. How we respond to an individual color depends on our nature, extroverts tend to feel happy with bold colors, while introverts prefer more passive colors. Through using specific combinations of color, combined with a careful consideration of simple color schemes is often the most effective.
This totally depends on your own taste - such a generic answer -I know! :) Try this:http://www.findanyfloor.com/VirtualRoomD鈥?/a>

Pick the living room option and virtually decorate it. Change up wall colors, celings floors, etc.... play around with it... see what you like! :) Have fun!
any light color. light makes an area look larger while dark makes it look smaller. I also suggest you not fill up the entire room with stuff. Leave some space! Also try adding mirrors to visually make the room look bigger.
Light, neutral colours are good at making small spaces seem bigger.

Though the colour of your wall should match with the colour scheme of your room. Ideally, you should have 3 main colours...
try a light neutral color. also you could try hanging a big mirror on one wall, that will give the illumination of more space.
dont paint it dark colors and just pick what you think looks right it just ant be dark because it will make it look smaller if it is dark
    a light yellow
    i guess green
