What is the best color to paint a photography studio??

Since you want to control the light in your studio, it would be best to paint the walls black or 18% gray. Any other color is going to mess with the light and create strange color casts. You could also do white and then use backdrops for other colors but this could cause some problems with reflection and flare if the space isn't big enough. What is the best color to paint a photography studio??
Do you want light reflecting off the walls? Or do you want to control the light in every which way?

Then paint it white if you want to use the walls to bounce back flash or reflect a bit of light, or black to prevent the walls from doing so...

I've never seen a black studio though, then again, haven't been in all too many. I would say I've seen white the most, but a lot of rooms are simply white to begin with...What is the best color to paint a photography studio??
16 % grey, you can use the walls as a grey card too.

It's been a while, but I have a vague memory of working in a studio with black walls to absorb the light so that the photographer had better control of the lighting.
