What color should i paint my home theatre walls and ceiling?

using a 100 ft screen and a dlp projectorWhat color should i paint my home theatre walls and ceiling?
you want to set a mood so go darker but not to dark go with eggplant or a brick red or even a darker gray. What color should i paint my home theatre walls and ceiling?
I would do more of a burgundy than a red and definitely a matte to keep down reflections.
I would say go dark to reduce any glare %26amp; really simulate an actual cinema experience. I'd choose a dark red - like ';crabby apple'; by sherwin williams. Check it out:

I do believe that is a question for the home owner or renter.

It usually depends on how big the room is?

What are there favorite colors whether they like dark or light?

Whether they are trying to coorinate furniture they all ready have or they are looking to buy new furniture.

Are they wanting the color's to coordinate with the walls or rug(s) or carpet.

Once they have made that decision they can go looking in the stores or internet the way the cost of gas is going up. See what is out there it styles seem to change with the seasons. Then if your not in a hurry wait for a sale or holiday

all furnitures stores have sales and usually you can save 10% to 20 %.

Good luck and have fun.

So make sure you shop around usually furniture isn't returnable if you decide you don't like it because maybe you found a better deal or found something else you like better.

Good Luck............. :-)
If it were me, I'd go with a dark, matte paint to reduce reflection and glare. Black seems extreme to me, but perhaps you can find a color family you like, and find something in a medium to dark color with a matte finish that you enjoy. Dark red would be very dramatic, dark blue would be calming, dark tan or brown would be fairly neutral. Have fun deciding.
Personally I believe this type of room should have a soft colour so as not to detract from whatever is showing. My choice would be either a stone, mushroom, or a soft pastel, perhaps lilac or blue.

If you prefer stronger colours, a nice rust or even eggplant.

Of course it all depends on whether you have your seating already or not; if you have, then naturally something to match.

Sounds like fun, so whatever you choose, enjoy!
