Light flat earthy tan color. Berh paints @home depot call this color ';comforting';


Whoever installed a maroon carpet is a maroon her/himself. ..unless the asker did it ;)
in my house (my parents really. lol!) the kitchen is also off the living too, and ours is blue too. our kitchen is a sand sorta brown color.
How about a warm gold that would brighten the room and complement the couch and carpet. Also won't clash with blue kitchen. Just an idea!
try someting neutral like a warm topey (brown) color, but not too dark. you could maybe even carry it into your kitchen if you wanted to.
a really nice shade of green (greenish blue) sounds nice





or manybe more like a white wine color.
Sounds like you need a neutral tone.


Maybe an earthy beige shade. Light, flat brown.
