You're not gonna get a Scion shoebox painted for the same price as a Lincoln Blackwood. bigger cars cost more...





the amount of prep they have to do matters, the amount of body work that needs done before hand matters, whether you want the doors and trim work cut matters, what kind of shape the car is in to begin with matters, how many coats and what kind of finish you want matters and any custom detail work you want matters...





figure 80 bucks per hour of prep and 200 bucks for paint and supplies for a decent job... As for the color, they can do factory colors or custom mixes, just realize a custom color costs more, and if the car is ever wrecked is harder to match than a factory color...How much is to paint a car? maaco usually have specials to paint your car..probably like 300-400...but i'll tell you this, they will charge you up more if you're changing the color of your car because they have to put more work and detail onto your car like poppin the trunk and painting the inside, under the hood, inside the doors and what not...i'll recommend keeping the same color to keep you under budget unless you really hate the color of your car or price isn't a matter. :-)
maaco? you will be sorry!, a good paint job with a color change at most body shops will cost you between 4 to 6 thousand for a quality job that will last for years and look great, at Maaco maybe close to $1,000 for a paint job that will flake off in less than 2 yrs.
how good a job do u want? and yes any colour u want. u r paying for there experiance.
