Colors to paint a twilight themed room?

Well I just went through a huge clean sweep in my room

and its pretty bare

So this is the perfect time to repaint it

Right now It has this weird horse theam from the Previous owners of the house that I hate to my vary core

Any-whoo

I wanted to repaint the whole room twilight theam

Twilight saga -by Stephenie Meyer

And stencil some things like the names of the books and characters

at first I wanted to do the tridishal Black and red twilight colors

like the colors of the books

But Now Im rethinking

for one black and red are quite depressing colors to have in a room

and for two

My room is rather small and dark colors would just make it feel smaller

So now I'm at a loss?

Does anybody know any other ways I could paint it

but still keep the twilight decor?

One idea is to paint your room white, and use bold black and red accents. You could stencil the names in black, and use red and black fabrics and furniture. Colors to paint a twilight themed room?
I kind of agree with some of the others that the fact if you do it too Twilight you might get tired of it eventually. But hey, if you like to paint then that wouldn't be a problem because you could just paint all of it over when you get tired of it.

But one thing you could do is paint it somewhat like Edward's bedroom. Paint your walls a tanish/goldish color and maybe paint just one wall (maybe the one behind your bed) black, red, topaz, or green (Edward's original eye color). Then do the book and character names black/red. !_!
Do a light grey on three walls, and then do a red accent wall behind your bed- that way it wont be quite so dark. Try to find red/white/black bedding and curtains.

either that... or read the description of Bella's room and try to copy... that could be fun... although, i dont really remember what her room is supposed to look like, so maybe not... you could try to mimic one of the cullens bedrooms... or the cottage in the last book...
don't get me wrong...I adore the twilight books. they're amazing.

A twilight themed bedroom??don't you think that's a teency bit much?

well...thats my opinion. I think it would be really cool if you painted all the walls black then did the red symbols from the 4 books on each wall. You could do a red or white border at the top of the wall...some cool design would look nice if your REALLY that into it

I think a red and black coloured bedroom would be beautiful though...I would leave out murals and stuff.

hope this helps

A light silver or simple white with accents of black and bright (not blood colored) red would be a good idea. For example, you could try framing your windows/doors with black and red, while still leaving other parts of the room feeling more open with a lighter shade.
instead of painting stuff you could put up posters and magazine pictures.or you could put up the book covers.or if you can paint well,or you know someone who can, you can paint the characters and sayings from the book and stuff.have fun=]
i would advice black, red ans a mix of other colours

I don't actually black and red together are depressing

Jst dont use too much or else you get creeped out

the two colours together lookk sort of ermmm........ challaging and exciting

hope that was helpful

Well maybe you could paint the walls purple, and have a bunch of posters, or, if you like Jacob, you could paint the room Forest/werewolf colors.
I Think It Would Be Nice To Have The Walls Black %26amp; Silver They Go Well Any If You Did The Walls Silver %26amp; The Drawings Black, It Will Go Nice %26amp; Won't Look Too Depressing.
Stripes: Black, red, white.

Checkered theme-Breaking dawn cover.

I don't know, thats cool the whole twilight theme. I just have a poster up.

You could have a deep purple accent wall, maybe at the head of your bed and then go for something lighter on the other walls...just a thought.
My advice: Don't do it. Do. Not. Do. It. You'll get sick of it after like no time at all. One thing you should DEFINITELY not do is stencil the names on the wall. What kind of a freak are you? Twilight is just a fad. It has no literary genius and (hopefully) will soon wear away. I'm sick of coming to school with dozens of girls comparing how many times they've watched the trailer for the movie. If you are going to have a twilight themed room (please, please don't) then I reccommend you paint it colours you LIKE not colours which match your ';theme'; and stick to the theme through removeable objects such as posters and stickers and doona covers. Don't do the whole permanent thing because if you get over it, you're stuck with it.

Personally, I'd advise against painting a room based on a book series/TV series/anything like that. It's unlikely you'll still be as amazed with it in a couple of years time, and then the room will likely just irritate you.

I had my room painted in my favorite colors, and within a year or two, even something that simplistic had changed, and now it's kind of annoying to me.

Personally, I believe the black and red, however, could go well together; they're not really that depressing of colors, and they're very attractive. I don't know much about the series, but if you really want to, and want to keep the black and red, you could accessorize your room with those two colors, and make sure everything else can fit in shades of red and grey, muting down your two colors.
