What colors do you mix to get blue? I need to paint a sky in oils.?

There are four colors that when mixed together make a rainbow: Cyan (blue), Magenta (red), Yellow, and Black.

Cyan by itself is going to be light so you may want to mix a little black with it to darken it up. Using Magenta and Yellow will allow you to create a pretty nifty sunset. But if you're just going for a blue sky, the Cyan by itself should suffice. What colors do you mix to get blue? I need to paint a sky in oils.?
Blue is a primary color, so you can not mix and create it. But as you are willing to paint sky, you have to decide the exact tone that you want to depict. Sky changes from place to place time to time. Where I live I see a sky with a light blueish color most of the time. I need to add little bit of white to pthalocaynine blue to depict that. Depending on what you see in your sky you will have to readjust your mixtureWhat colors do you mix to get blue? I need to paint a sky in oils.?
You need to BUY Blue color in a tube of oil paint. You CAN'T mix it from other colors.

Buy ultramarine blue and cerulean blue. Add a little bit of either (or both) to white paint, and you will have a nice sky. I am an artist who paints for a living, so I mix colors every day.
blue is a primary color.
try purple and green? purple and red?.. i guess
Blue is a primary colour - it is difficult, almost impossable to creat blue without very specific mixing, Good luck
