Pretty colors to paint room?

well were moving into a new home , and i finally get to decide the color i wanna paint my room., but i just cant decide..

its hard should i do it based on my personality er more of what my mom wants?

heres a little bit about me and from that can you find a color that might look nice..

i hate the color pink, i like everything organized, something a little more mature and not totally childish, but yet something that might also show that im still a kid inside.. light greens and blues arent all that nice tho..

any ideas?Pretty colors to paint room?
I'm painting my room too. It's a long rectangle so the far wall is going to be a dark plum and the rest are going to be silver my bedding it going to be black and white, so maybe you could consider that? Sorry if i wasn't much help! Write back when you decide!Pretty colors to paint room?
Go to the paint store and look at the paint chips. Decide what appeals to your eye. What color makes you happy and makes you feel at home? Pick three different shades that you like and buy the sample jars of the paint. Get some poaterboard. Paint the colors on the pieces of posterboard and use painter's tape to tape them up on your bedroom wall. Look at them in the morning and at night ( the light changes so will the color ). Once you have a color that you love, go buy it and paint :) You can use your sample boards to take with you to the store to buy bedding, etc. The big sample ';chips'; give you a more accurate idea of how the color will look.

Consider your natural lighting. If your room faces east the room will be filled with light in the morning and bright colors will make the room glow. If it's west facing the afternoon light will make it glow. If it's north facing you get subdued light all day and you can use brighter, warmer colors without worrying about the room glowing.

I really love Benjamin Moore's ';Georgetown Pink Beige';. ( Don't let the word pink stop you from loving it ). It looks like liquid make up in the can and it goes with ANYTHING. I haven't found a color that won't work with it. Depending on the light sometimes is it a warm color and sometimes it is more gray. Have fun!
Just how old are you? If you are over 12 your mum should let you make most of the choices...with her guidance of course.

Remind her it will be YOUR room after all...and doesnt' she want you comfortable doing your homework?
