You could go for something along the lines of a chocolate but you would need to know that this would be a big change from white. But could compliment you carpet and furniture. Other wise probably go for a pink underton colour, not green undertones. When I say undertones this doen't mean a bright green or pink its just and undertone. Go to a paint shop and they can help you with this if you need a hand, or contact an interior designer. The reason I say pink undertone is because red is a pink undertone and it would keep the flow of colour :) green undertones are opposite on the spectrim and that could clash unles you want a bright constrast :) The darker and/or colder the colour the smaller the room could feel but this also creates a nice cosy feel perfect for winter. A bright fresh colour will enlargen. Just remember you could put a light cold looking colour and this can still make you room look withdrawn and cold and empty but it is perfect for that ultr modern look and feel :) but your furniture probably isn't ultra modern. What color should i paint my room?
play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family %26amp; color name, the ';painted'; rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think a color like ';orchid'; (# 0071) would look snazzy with the dark furniture %26amp; red carpet.
just one suggestion

you could always re paint your furniture so you could have your favorite color walls

also you could go to a paint store and look at the selections
You have some dark bold color. This is tough, here is a web link that may give you some help...

a medium to dark red always goes well with cherry. and if you don't want to much red, go with a medium-ish blue or a tan
if its a small room light colour paints lik pink yellow ll suit u.if its a big room u can choose multicolour paints in opposite sides
A warm color like peach or light mustard/gold.
a dark purple'sh red or a dark redish
I think maroon would look great with your furniture...or any other dark color.
maybe pink its pretty with red and bright brown
